Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Director to lead and oversee the activity program in our nursing facility. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs.
Assess resident needs and maintain individualized activity care plans.
Organize recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents of all ability levels.
Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and the community.
CNA / CMA Certification is a big plus. (CNA/CMA work is required).
Qualifications:
High school diploma preferred; degree in recreation, therapeutic recreation, or related field a plus.
Certification as Activity Director would be very positive.
Experience in long-term care or senior activities strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills; creativity and compassion are a must.
