As an Advanced Radiology Technologist Assistant, you will be onsite to perform a variety of essential duties, including clerical, technical, and patient-related functions. Your role will involve assisting radiology technologists in delivering a wide range of healthcare services such as patient check-in, exam preparation, education, assistance during exams, and patient transport.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Exhibit competency in job-related skills tailored to specific patient populations and department services.
• Manage all aspects of patient registration including administration, coordination, and evaluation.
• Warmly greet and assist visitors and patients.
• Facilitate the check-in and check-out processes, verify insurance, and inform patients about costs associated with their care.
• Guide patients to the right resources for additional information.
• Answer phone calls and relay messages effectively.
• Prepare the imaging room for examinations, ensuring to follow proper isolation precautions when necessary.
• Deliver high-quality customer service, explaining procedures to patients in a clear and understandable manner.
• Position patients comfortably while maintaining their modesty during examinations.
• Utilize knowledge of common practices and procedures relevant to radiology.
• Follow instructions and established guidelines to execute job functions effectively.
• Assist patients with dressing and positioning them for exams while providing necessary escorting to and from exam rooms.
• Interact with patients compassionately, accommodating those ranging from healthy to critically ill.
• Perform IV starts as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (preferred).
• Phlebotomy Certification or Medical Assisting Certificate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This role may involve lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, with extended periods of sitting and frequent standing and walking.

DRESS ATTIRE: Business casual or scrubs, depending on department requirements.
