Las Vegas Urology is a growing and well-respected practice that has been serving patients in the Las Vegas Valley for decades. We are currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented Appointment Scheduler to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team that supports multiple clinics across the city.

Position Overview

The Appointment Scheduler operates the clinic phone system, provides patients with appointments, and ensures accurate entry of new patient demographics.

Essential Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments while following physician-specific requirements.
• Update patient records and make changes as needed.
• Inform patients of past due balances when necessary.
• Route messages to physicians and medical assistants.
• Support other staff members and foster a team-oriented environment.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Handle confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of scheduling experience, preferably in a healthcare or clinic setting.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong communication and phone etiquette skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of how scheduling impacts other departments.

Physical Demands

This position primarily involves working in an office environment, requiring prolonged sitting. Some bending, lifting, and stretching may be necessary. Manual dexterity is required for calculator and computer use. Must be able to handle stressful situations, maintain focus while on the phone, and interact professionally with patients and staff.
