Job Description:
Perform Epic Application Coordinator/Analyst functions to build the following Epic modules: Healthy Planet Population Health for your health system. Serve as the primary build and support contact for the assigned Epic modules. This position is responsible for coordinating all issues that arise during the project for their application and must become very knowledgeable about the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary support contact for the application's end-users
  • Work in developing, designing, configuring, scripting, testing, and/or supporting applications for the business, research, and/or instructional functions of clients.
  • Develop solutions using programming expertise for day-to-day problems to include maintenance, modification, or development of complex inter-related applications/solutions.
  • Evaluate hardware availability and software requirements
  • Identify issues that arise in the application and working to resolve them
  • Guide workflow design, build and test the system, and analyze other technical issues associated with Epic software
  • Identify and implement requested changes to the system
  • Serve as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and Epic implementation staff
  • Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly project team meetings
  • Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows by attending site visits and other integrated sessions
  • Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
  • Hold weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones
Required Skills:
  • 5 Years - Certified by Epic in Healthy Planet Population Health for your health system app
  • 8 Years - Epic implementation or operations support experience
  • 8 Years - Health IT experience
  • 5 Years - Familiarity with Epic tools: Registries, Reporting Workbench, Decision support tools, Health Maintenance, Best Practice Advisories
  • 8 Years - Knowledge of Epic Care Everywhere, SmartForms, Meaningful Use, and Specialty Modules, Marketing, Demonstrations, and Procedure orders
  • 5 Years - Familiarity with Epic tools: Integration with patient and provider outreach tools, and MyChart
  • 5 Years - Familiarity with case or care management workflows and wellness programs
  • 8 Years - Thorough knowledge of assigned data and the use of its systems via developing through test plans/scenarios
  • 5 Years - Familiarity with/background in quality reporting initiatives such as PQRS, ACO/MSSP, & Meaningful Use
  • 5 Years - Familiarity with health plan concepts and workflows
  • 8 years - Working knowledge in application development and system integration
  • 8 Years - Skilled in enterprise systems and familiarity with best business practices related to systems
  • 5 Years - Familiarity with legal requirements and operational policies related to patient and family privacy practices
  • 8 Years - Working knowledge of security protocols for systems utilized
  • 8 Years - Working knowledge of the current architecture of systems and information to troubleshoot problems
  • 8 Years - Working knowledge of the business functions and system needs of unit to develop working specifications for software application solutions
  • 8 Years - Ability to manage timelines, financial resources, and the activities of others to achieve success and to monitor project progress and provide updates
  • 8 Years - Experience in the entire development process including specification, workflow analysis, workflow diagrams, data modeling, documentation, and quality
  • 5 Years - Coordinate and direct computer systems and application design and development
  • 8 Years - Experience in assessing user needs through discussion with customer
  • 8 Years - Able to convey technical information to client and promote understanding of relevant issues
  • 8 Years - Software quality assurance/testing experience
