Job Description

As an HSE Manager here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for overseeing and managing the health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts within our Aerospace Technologies (AT) business unit. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety for our employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices in engineering-related safety.

You will report directly to our Site Leader and you will work out of our Plymouth, MN location.

In this role, you will impact our organization by overseeing the development and implementation of health, safety, ergonomics, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will contribute to the overall success and reputation of our business as an accountable and sustainable organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
  • Guide and manage a team of HSE professionals, including engineers, specialists, and facilitation staff, ensuring efficient and effective HSE engineering practices.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.
  • Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies.
  • Develop and manage the HSE budget, allocate resources, and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.
  • Promote environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organization's operations.
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards in HSE engineering, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments.
  • Work with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $118,000 - $147,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of experience in HSE Engineering
  • 5+ years of guiding and directing team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, ergonomics and best practices.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Certification in HSE or a related field is a plus.
