Job Description

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for an Industrial Outside Sales Representative Lumber Manufacturing Product experience for the Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania area, to join our team responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, and driving sales of lumber products to industrial and manufacturing customers. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of lumber grades, specifications, and industrial applications, coupled with a strong background in B2B sales. This position requires physical presence in the Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania area.


In this role you will focus on:

  • Complete prospecting activities to establish first and follow up appointments with customer decision makers through cold calls, lead generation, referrals, networking.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers.
  • Educate current customers on new products or product lines.
  • Travel to customers and trade shows to present products.
  • Must also maintain a current customer base.
Qualifications:
  • Three to five years of outside sales (business-to-business) experience, with lumber industry preferred.
  • Must possess good business presentation, selling principles, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including service-oriented telephone manner.
