Job Description

Main Tasks

• Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of goods and services
• Issue purchase orders
• Assist with quality issues that may result in a return to vendor
• Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align purchasing strategies
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery
• Utilize procurement management software to streamline purchasing processes
• Research inventory discrepancies with Finance
• Communicate with scheduling and production of any issues with materials
• Additional duties as assigned

Your Profile

• Associate's degree with a minimum of two years of experience in replenishment buying and/or requisition buying in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of production, logistics and supply chain management principles
• Prior experience in manufacturing
• Prior experience in purchasing preferred
• Analytical skills; ability to calculate and convert units of measure, build truckloads, etc.
• Proficient in inventory management techniques to optimize stock levels
• Strong team player
• Ability to take initiative and think proactively with a positive attitude and target oriented approach
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel)
• Ability to analyze pricing trends and make informed purchasing decisions
• Experience with ERP systems; SAGE preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Must be able to work well independently or with minimal supervision
