We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience supporting production transition projects and working with electromechanical assemblies . The ideal candidate will have strong competency in process documentation , factory test equipment , and compliance standards such as CSA/UL certifications . This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition of products from development into full-scale manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support production transition activities from engineering to manufacturing.
  • Work with electromechanical assemblies , supporting design updates, improvements, and manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation , including assembly work instructions, test procedures, and process flow diagrams.
  • Assist in the setup, maintenance, and validation of basic functional and safety test equipment used in factory environments.
  • Ensure products meet CSA, UL, and other regulatory certification requirements.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and support corrective actions for production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with production transition projects .
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and assemblies .
  • Hands-on experience creating process documentation and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Knowledge of factory test equipment , functional tests, and safety testing.
  • Familiarity with CSA/UL standards and product certification processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering change processes.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
