Job Title: Medical Billing with Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Position Overview

Our client is a fast-growing organization seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing with A/R Specialist to join our team. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a self-starter with a solid understanding of the revenue cycle, medical billing processes, and insurance claims management.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of billing activities—including claim submissions, payment posting, denial management, insurance follow-up, and appeal filings. Proficiency in working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance providers is essential. Experience in provider credentialing is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily medical billing and enter claims accurately.
• Conduct timely follow-ups on denied or unpaid claims.
• File appeals to ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Post payments and reconcile outstanding accounts.
• Navigate insurance portals and utilize billing software platforms effectively.
• Support company goals and uphold its mission and values through high-quality work.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Billing and/or Coding preferred but not required
• 1–3 years of experience in billing and coding.
• Familiarity with CMS-1500 forms and professional coding (Internal Medicine and SNF experience is a plus).
• Proven experience in insurance claims follow-up and denial resolution.
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with word processing and general computer operations.

Desired Skills and Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Medical Billing Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage processes, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Experience with provider credentialing is preferred but not required.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
