Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

What’s a typical day as a Overhead Crane Operator? You’ll be:

• Safely and efficiently transporting materials within the yard using a forklift, primarily moving large steel beams.

• Following established procedures and guidelines for the movement of materials, ensuring accuracy and minimizing damage or loss.

• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate material transfers between warehouse locations and production areas.

• Performing regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and reconciling any discrepancies.

• Updating inventory records in the warehouse management system, accurately recording receipts, issuances, and transfers.

• Safely loading and unloading materials onto trucks, trailers, or other transportation vehicles using appropriate lifting and securing techniques.

• Verifying accuracy and quality of incoming and outgoing materials, comparing against shipping documents or purchase orders.

• Picking, packing, and staging materials for outbound shipments according to order specifications.

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment, adhering to 5S principles and safety regulations.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Have 5+ years of previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations preferred.

• Have a valid forklift operator certification preferred.

• Have the ability to read and interpret shipping documents, labels, and packing slips.

• Have strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.

• Have excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and operate equipment.

• Have strong organizational and time management skills.

• Have effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Have knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in operations.

• Are flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and work demands.
