Job Description

CHEP Services is hiring Pallet Repair Operators for our location in Kilgore, TX . Are you familiar with the use of nail guns and reciprocating saws? Do you have construction experience? Can you perform the position's physical requirements, like repeatedly lifting and moving around 75 pounds throughout the day? Are you focused on safety, are you reliable, and customer driven? ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PALLET REPAIR OPERATORS

• Uses a pneumatic nail gun to repair or assemble pallets.
• In a repair department, place pallets on the repair table, remove defective boards, replace new boards, and nail replaced boards in place.
• An assembly, department takes stock boards and nails together based on the type of pallet desired.
• Responsible for troubleshooting jams and essential maintenance of the saw.
• Work requires the operator to stand for long periods ( 8- 10 hours )
• Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, always adhering to company safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs, with hand-eye coordination and endurance.
• Must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of previous experience with handheld power tools in a work setting.
• 2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery.

SCHEDULES

• 1st Shift - Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
• 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• 3rd Shift - Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
