Are you looking for a FUN part-time job 1-2 days a week? If you love music and being the life of the party, then this is the perfect side-hustle! We are looking for individuals with a dynamic personality to work as a DJ at private events.

Cutting Edge Entertainment is a multi-op mobile entertainment company providing DJ and Photo Booth services for weddings and other private events, such as birthdays, quinceaneras, graduations, and corporate gatherings. We are one of the larger DJ companies in town, with multiple W2 employees and systems, and a physical office in which to meet with our clients.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate with clients to understand their event requirements and music preferences

· Set up and operate DJ equipment, including sound systems, microphones, and lighting

· Keep a written list of songs played to ensure client satisfaction

· Read the crowd and adjust the music selection to keep the energy high

· Make announcements and engage with the audience during events

· Collaborate with other event staff, such as event planners or photographers, to ensure a smooth event experience

 

Requirements:

· You must be over the age of 21

· You must have your own vehicle (titled in your name and not shared)

· You must have your own cell phone

· You must be available every Saturday night

· You must be punctual. Our events must start on time!

 

Experience:

· Previous experience as a DJ is preferred but not required. It is an added plus if you can also beat mix music.

· Strong public speaking skills to confidently interact with clients and guests

· Knowledge of different music genres and ability to cater to various audiences

· Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for clients and guests

· Ability to lift heavy equipment or speakers when setting up or tearing down the DJ system

· Being bilingual, fully fluent in Spanish, is another plus, but not required.

 

We provide all the equipment, music, and training, so if you already DJ on your own or have your own equipment, this position might not be for you. The pay starts at $20 per hour, plus gratuities, which vary greatly based on performance.

Please do NOT apply if you oversleep, have court often, don't have a babysitter, have frequent flat tires, or will be an expert at work with no need to learn or take advice or instruction after your first day. We are also the center of attention at events, so you must present well. Tattoos and piercings are permitted, if they are tasteful. Face, neck, and hand tattoos or excessive piercings are not allowed. Also, Cutting Edge Entertainment is a drug-free environment, so recreational drug use is not permitted and may be tested.
