Hello! I've got a Common Chuckwalla named Paladin, and I'll be away for about 5 days in September. I've got a timed light for my enclosure so all that's really needed is for someone to stop in at around noon when he's active and pick out a few salad leaves, a touch of fruit, and a little mealworm. He's just little guy, just a little baby, not even a sugar cube, but I expect him to grow a little bit bigger when my vacation comes up in early September (still ironing out the dates). He's super friendly, feel free to handle him (if he doesn't just jump out at you for some snuggles), he loves looking out of the window and doesn't run too far from it, but he is an escape artist so make sure the door is closed when you take out the food and water bowl. He's a desert reptile, so low humidity is what you're looking for, 20-35% is ideal in the summer around the basking spot, but it's not the end of the world if it's 50% on the cool end of the viv. 110-130 is alright for his basking spot if you use the laser temp reader on the stone, but so long as there's a side that is under triple digits, ideally under 90 degrees is that matters so he can adjust himself. Other than that, he's super low maintenance. Just clean his poops up, look for a little white in them to make sure he's hydrated. I like to sweep the sand off the tracks and rock for him with a brush but it's not necessary. I'll pay for a full hour, but honestly he doesn't need that much care so I'm hoping for around or under $30 an hour. Help yourself to some tea or soda, take him out to look out the window, hang out.
