PIPELINE LABORER
We are looking to fill a Pipeline Laborer position in Byers, CO. As a laborer, you are vital to project success by ensuring safety, efficiency, and progress on the job site. You’ll have the opportunity to work outdoors, collaborating with a team to safely complete construction projects.
Duties also include digging trenches or ditches, backfill, compact and level earth. This role allows you to enjoy the fresh air, provides a chance to learn new skills, and builds valuable industry experience. This role can be physically demanding and requires work in various weather conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Load or assist with loading materials or equipment
Utilize hand tools to dig near existing underground utilities
Dig trenches up to 5 feet,
backfill excavations,
jackhammer asphalt/rock
compact and level earth to grade specifications using shovels, tampers, and rakes
Move pipe and related tools and materials
Clean up rubble and debris
Perform technical construction and repair on major utility pipelines
Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
Prepare pre-trip equipment prior to mobilizing to job site
Assist in securing the work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift
Prepare documents, reports, or job aids related to work, equipment, and safety
Perform miscellaneous duties assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid driver's license
Prior pipeline construction and/or pipeline laborer experience preferred
Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools preferred
Keen attention to safety
Self-starter with a strong work ethic
Detail orientated
Coachable, willing to follow instructions
Tolerates a wide range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
The physical activity required for this role includes:
Standing or walking for long periods of time on uneven and variable terrain
Repeatedly lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.),
Other repetitive movements, such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
Wear PPE as required
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
