Operates power plant boiler, turbine, generator, scrubber if coal unit, and auxiliary equipment to produce \telectric power. Communicates and coordinates work activities with LCRA's Generation Desk (GenDesk) to \tmeet generation demand load requirements. This position utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and \texperience in own discipline to provide and improve services. Takes a new perspective to solve complex \tproblems. Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with \tless experience; may direct the work of other staff members. Our mission is to improve the lives of Central Texas and our teams are dedicated to service with safety as top priority! \t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t You will be trusted to: \t\t\t\tAt an expert level and under limited Supervision: \t\t\t\t\t- Coordinate operation of the Boiler, Turbine, Generator and Auxiliary Controls to meet the needs of the Electric Grid. \t\t\t\t\t- Perform Unit walk downs and monitoring of Operating equipment as required while performing Plant Operator functions. \t\t\t\t\t- Provide guidance and mentorship for Operator Trainees. \t\t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t You qualify with: \t\t\t\t- Five or more years of experience in power plant operations or power plant maintenance, including at least one year operating the unit control board with little or no supervision and including at least one unit startup and at least one unit shutdown or relevant experience.
