About the role: As a Quality Control Apprentice, you will identify deviations that could create quality/safety/environmental hazards or cause malfunctions.
You will report to the QA/QC & EHS Component Manufacturing Manager and be located at Shoreview, MN. You will support this role 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities: \n - Work as team member with cognizant personnel to identify corrective actions.
\n - Perform inspection and testing activities.
\n - Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition.
\n - Understand, and demonstrate compliance with procedures, codes, specifications, regulations.
\n - Understand drawings, original manufacturer product documentation, procedures, and other assembly and fabrication documents.
\n - Perform basic dimensional inspection using standard inspection equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, etc.
\n - Inspect fabrications and assemblies for completeness and cleanliness.
\n - Perform electrical and mechanical inspections of components, assemblies and weldments.
\n - Work with manufacturing, engineering, quality and supply chain to resolve issues related to inspection of product.
\n - Identify and document items that do not meet specifications.
\n - Prepare and archive necessary documentation related to performance of inspections.
\n - Pursue and implement opportunities for improvement.
\n - Express all safety concerns promptly.
\n - Perform other activities as directed by manager.
\n - This role may include periodic support to manufacturing group for assembly, welding, and fabrication work.
\n - This role may include periodic support to EHS group for different activities.
\n - This role may include periodic support to engineering group for product design and analysis.

Qualifications: \n - High school degree or equivalent.
\n - Proficient in Microsoft software products.
\n - 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
\n - Proficiency with blueprint reading.
\n - Experience with industrial safety programs.
\n - Demonstrated desire to pursue qualifications, certifications, and accreditation to grow in career.
\n - Proficiency in communicating and delivering commitments.
\n - Experience operating CNC machines.
\n - Experience with welding processes.
\n - Experience with electromechanical machine assemblies.
\n - Experience with multiple EHS disciplines such as lifting and rigging, confined space, fall protection, powered industrial trucks, LOTO, electrical safety, stormwater, hazardous materials.
\n - Experience with metal fabrication and assembly manufacturing process.
\n - Experience with quality programs and inspection.
\n - Improvement project work experience.
\n - Enrollment or completion of accredited program certification and degree in related field.
\n - Experience with EHS programs, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
\n - Knowledge of electrical/electronic assembly.
