Job Description
LWF South Ranch is hiring for a full-time Ranch Hand / Hunting Guide We are looking for a motivated individual who is experienced in equipment operation, Hunting, Fishing, and Ranch/ Farm upkeep.
LWF South is and Approximately 3000 Acre Hunting Preserve and we also operate a Game Farm/ Breeding Facility on site for Whitetail Deer.
Employees will participate in various work activities involving LWF Souths on going Management programs.
Responsibilities will include" Assisting Ranch Manager and other Ranch Employees in the all Day-Day operations which may include the following, but are not limited to:
-Heavy Equipment operation
-Prescribed Burns
-Pile burns
-Tractor work to maintain Food plots
-Scouting, Guiding, Processing of Game
-Filing Feeders
-Fence Monitoring and Upkeep
-Maintenance of Ranch Properties
-Camera Surveys
-Mowing with tractor and Zero Turn
-Herbicide Application
-Predator Management
-House Maintenance
-Tree Stand Maintenance
-Daily Feeding and health checks in Game Farm and Handling Deer in facility.
Qualifications
-Must have open availability for scheduling purposes of the Ranch
-Able to work with a team and be able to self manage tasks
-Possess Critical thinking skills and Common sense
-Must be able to handle working in Adverse conditions
-Good Communicator verbally and written
-Neat and organized
-Attention to Detail
-Work independently without supervision at times
-able to lift 50 lbs or more on regular basis
-Willing to learn
-Physically fit
-Prior Hunting Experience and Good General knowledge of Whitetail Deer and other various species is preferred
-Backgrounds in Wildlife and Land Management is preferred but not required.
Applicants will be Subject to a Background Check and are expected to maintain privacy of the Ranch. Must be Well Groomed and presentable at all times. Previous Ranch Experience is a plus. Reliable Transportation is required.
