Title: Sales Tax Nexus Analyst Contractor
Location : 100% Remote (US)
Start date : Immediately
TaxValet is looking to hire an experienced
sales tax analyst for a part-time contract role. The contractor will be responsible for completing sales tax nexus analyses on a weekly basis. It is essential that the person applying for this position has extensive knowledge of US sales tax and thoroughly understands the concept of sales tax nexus. This is not a position that will file returns.
Responsibilities + Tasks You will be assigned 4-8 nexus review projects monthly. Training and support will be provided. No client interaction is required.
Time Commitment + Expectation This role is flexible and part-time. We expect you to work between 5-10 hours per week. At this point, we expect this role and work to continue long-term.
Our team works remotely and is generally available for training and support between the hours of 11am- 4pm EST, Monday - Friday. You are free to work whenever is convenient for you, however this is the only time the rest of the team is available for support.
Eligibility Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- You have worked in the sales tax arena before and consider your sales tax knowledge robust.
- You are no stranger to nexus. You have a solid understanding of the concept of nexus, the types of nexus, and how nexus applies to a business for sales tax purposes.
- You are looking for flexible and part-time work.
- You have experience working remotely including access to a computer, camera, microphone, headset and at least two monitors.
- You are confident you will pass a background check and can easily provide at least two professional references from current or previous supervisors.
The Sales Tax Filing Contractor position pay is $25-$28/hr based on your previous work experience. Our contractors are paid on a bi-weekly basis.
