Must-Have Experience

🏥 Call & Schedule Reality (important for candidates)

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
• GTE: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weeknight call: 1–2 evenings/week (after 5 PM)
• Weekend call: 1–2 weekends/month
  • 24-hour call (6:30a–6:30a)
• Holiday call: 1 major + 1 minor
• Call response time: 30 minutes

🏥 Unit Overview

Join a busy mixed Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology unit with 3 procedure suites performing an average of 8–10 cases per day . This role is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs who are confident in procedural sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and IR workflows .

🔬 Procedures & Patient Population

Cath Lab Procedures

• Left & Right Heart Caths (diagnostic & interventional)
• EP studies
• Pacemakers & defibrillators

Interventional Radiology Procedures

• PICC & central line placement
• Swan-Ganz catheters
• Pleurovacs
• Stroke interventions

👩‍⚕️ RN Responsibilities

• Procedure setup & circulation
• Administer RN-led procedural sedation
• Continuous patient monitoring during procedures
• Hemodynamic monitoring from control room (outside procedure suite)
• Work within a 3-person procedural team
• Float between procedure room & control room as needed

⚠️ Candidates must be comfortable monitoring patients from the control room while maintaining visual contact through windows.

⏰ Schedule & Call Requirements

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
• 36 hours guaranteed
• Weeknight call: 1–2 evenings per week (after 5 PM)
• Weekend call: 1–2 weekends per month (24-hour call)
• Holiday call: 1 major + 1 minor
• Call response time: 30 minutes

✅ Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS & ACLS
• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience
• IR experience REQUIRED (mixed lab)
• Strong procedural sedation & hemodynamic monitoring skills
• EMR: Cerner
• Prior travel experience preferred

🧩 Orientation & Support

• Up to 2 weeks of unit-specific orientation
• RN will not join call rotation until week 3
• Dedicated Cath Lab Manager & Charge Nurse
• Cath Lab & IR Tech support available
