Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Director, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the drug therapy needs of patients are met. This role includes five major areas of responsibility: clinical pharmacy, drug distribution, teaching, administrative duties, and research. The pharmacist must comply with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and healthcare policies.

Responsibilities:

• Clinical pharmacy duties and patient care
• Drug distribution and IV admixtures
• Teaching and mentoring responsibilities
• Participation in administrative activities
• Research initiatives and quality improvement

Requirements:

• Familiarity with unit dose systems, IV admixture procedures, and technical/clinical pharmacy practice
• Strong computer proficiency
• Effective communication and self-direction
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience (retail-only experience will not be considered)
