Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology contract in New Jersey requiring trauma or stroke center experience and active NJ or compact license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Position located in the Interventional Radiology unit covering a cancer center and main campus settings
  • Day shifts, four 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
  • On-call required 1-2 days per week, averaging 4-6 call assignments per month
  • Patient population includes cancer center IR cases and conscious sedation recovery, with some patients transitioning to PACU
  • Clinicians float between the main campus and cancer center, facilities are connected by a pedestrian bridge
  • Uses Epic for documentation; Epic experience preferred
  • Responsibilities include IR procedures, monitoring patients under conscious sedation, and assisting with PICC procedures during on-call
  • First-time travelers welcome to apply
  • Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract period
  • Block scheduling not allowed
  • Candidates required to float within skill set based on staffing and census needs
  • Modules and Epic training are completed pre-start; up to 18 hours of required modules
  • Scrub attire required as per unit policy

  • Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • Minimum 1.5 years Level I trauma experience or 2 years Level II trauma experience; stroke center experience accepted
  • A-line and procedural wedge pressure experience required
  • EKOS or similar device experience is highly preferred
  • Scrub experience preferred but not required
  • References required at time of consideration
  • Locals accepted
  • Former employees must be gone at least 1 year to be eligible
