Bennett Creative is a video-forward marketing agency based in Austin, Texas. We specialize in producing exceptional visual content and running high-performance campaigns for small to medium-sized businesses. Our team is passionate about helping our clients achieve their marketing goals and stand out in their industries. We were started in 2018 by Dorothy & Andrew Bennett. Our office is located in central Austin near some of the best restaurants and coffee shops in town.

DESCRIPTION

We're seeking a passionate and driven Video Editor to join our creative team. This is a dynamic role for someone who is a highly skilled technician and creative thinker, specifically in post-production, with a deep expertise in commercial short-form content and custom motion graphics. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, eager to innovate, and interested in working with a growing team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute all aspects of video editing for various projects, from logging footage to color grading and sound design, primarily using the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects.
  • Design and create high-quality, custom motion graphics for commercial, short form content.
  • Bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table, particularly in post-production workflows.
  • Work on a wide range of projects, including social media content, corporate event coverage, and high-end commercials.
  • Maintain an organized workflow, ensuring all assets are managed efficiently and projects are delivered on time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years of proven experience in commercial short-form video editing (not documentary/film), with a strong portfolio showcasing complete, individual finished projects that include motion graphics.
  • Expert proficiency in the full Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced master of Adobe After Effects.
  • Expertise in creating custom motion graphics as opposed to pre-built templates.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a flexible and adaptable mindset for a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong eye for detail and a passion for delivering top-tier creative content.

SALARY + BENEFITS

  • $60k - $75k / year depending on experience and skillset
  • 15 days of paid-time-off (PTO) in the first year. More PTO per year after that. 12 paid bank holidays.
  • 401k program with employer matching of 3-4% after 12 months of employment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must currently be Austin-based.
  • Must have your own car and valid drivers license
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the United States

INTERVIEW PROCESS

If invited to a second interview, that will be conducted with our CEO and Social Media Director over Google Meet. Final candidates will be invited to the office for an in-person interview with a few of our team members. Any additional interviews after the in-person will be kept to a minimum and conducted over Google Meet. We will also need 3 references that we can call and speak to on the phone.
