Overview (Text Only): Health In Motion Physical Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Athletic Trainer (ATC) for Auburndale and Pittsville High SchoolsSports Programs for the academic school year. Our Athletic Trainers cover all sports and home games as well as travel, based on the Athletic Director’s discretion. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention and treatment of the athletes. Responsible for assisting in the administration of all aspects of injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation, and health care education and counseling for student athletes participating in the athletics program.

• Documentation of and maintaining accurate injury records.
• Organization of rehabilitation and injury prevention programs.
• Cooperation and collaboration with strength and conditioning staff.
• Coordination and oversight of all necessary medical referrals.
• Collaboration with team physicians, physical therapists, and other allied health-care professional providers.
• Direct communication with coaches, parents, student-athletes, athletic administration, and other stakeholders when appropriate.
• Athletic Training Room coverage. This will include being present in the Athletic Training Room during scheduled open hours to see walk-in athletes.
• Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned and commensurate with the normal activities related to varsity sport athletic training service.

Qualifications:

Licenses/Certifications:

• BS degree required
• NATA certification required
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR Card
• Basic First Aid is desirable

 

Experience and Skills:

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Current NATABOC certification and eligibility for licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
• Ability to work effectively and independently with students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members.
• Strong writing, communication, administrative and organizational skills.
• Two years of athletic training experience is preferred.
