Jireh Semiconductor, the wafer fab operation of Alpha & Omega Semiconductor located in Hillsboro, OR is looking for a Process Engineer in the areas of CMP/BGBM/Implant/RTP. The Process Engineer will work across all functional areas in this group to provide support and back-up coverage for manufacturing processes in CMP, Implant, RTP and BGBM. Depending on previous experience, the engineer may also assume ownership of a particular tool set after an initial training period. The engineer will participate in SPC, yield enhancement, process improvement and new tool qualification activities in collaboration with other engineers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support of existing processes in the 200mm fab
  • Data collection and analysis of engineering tests for new tool/process qualification
  • Regular review of SPC charts, and initial response to out of control measurements
  • Disposition of discrepant material, including troubleshooting/diagnosis of cause per existing procedures, and implementation of preventative actions
  • Writing/Updating specs for tools, processes and operations
  • Assist in training manufacturing techs on new and/or established processes
  • Eventual ownership of a process area after demonstration of knowledge and capability

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• BS, Masters or Ph.D. degree in physics, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, or other related discipline
• Hands-on experience in BGBM, CMP, Implant or RTP desired but not necessary

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with SPC and statistical analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with people one on one and in a team environment
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; other computer skills a plus
