Position Details

• Role: SAP BRIM SOM/CI Functional Consultant / SME | W2 CONTRACT ROLE
• Location: Middletown, PA (Hybrid – Mostly Remote)
• Eligibility: Candidates must be within 1.5 hours of Middletown, PA
• Engagement Type: Long-term contract

Work Model

• Mostly remote
• Onsite requirement: 1 week per month in Middletown, PA
• Occasional onsite presence for:
• Stakeholder meetings
• Go-live and post go-live support
• Orientation and equipment pickup

Role Overview

The SAP BRIM Functional Consultant / SME will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP BRIM solutions supporting high-volume, consumption-based billing and revenue management models on SAP S/4HANA .

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, and test SAP BRIM solutions including:
• Subscription Order Management (SOM)
• Convergent Invoicing (CI)
• Convergent Charging (CC)
• Sales & Distribution (SD)
• Materials Management (MM)
• Lead business workshops to gather requirements and define processes, features, and user stories
• Configure and customize SAP BRIM modules following SAP best practices
• Ensure PCI DSS, SOC1, and SOC2 compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration with:
• SAP ERP
• Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Payment gateways
• Support high-volume data migration, delta loads, and cutover activities
• Develop and execute functional test cases (SIT/UAT)
• Produce functional specifications and review technical designs
• Recommend and optimize SAP Fiori usage
• Provide training and mentorship to business users and junior team members
• Maintain comprehensive documentation (designs, diagrams, test plans, best practices)

Required Experience

• 7+ years hands-on SAP BRIM configuration (SOM, CI)
• 3+ years SAP S/4HANA BRIM in a commercial cloud environment
• At least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA BRIM implementations
• Strong experience with:
• PCI DSS compliance
• Tokenization and secure payment flows
• Payment gateway integrations
• Mediation systems for usage capture and rating

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA BRIM certifications (BR235 / BR240 / BR245 / BR416)
• Experience in utilities, transportation, or usage-based subscription models
• Hybrid Agile delivery experience
• Hands-on experience with:
• Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA
• SAP BTP (event-driven architecture, APIs)
• ServiceNow for post go-live support
