We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to play a vital role in our organization's growth and success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, safety compliance, and team management. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, 5S principles, food safety standards, and shipping and receiving protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring that all work is performed according to established procedures and standards.
- Implement and maintain 5S principles within the warehouse, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
- Ensure all food safety standards and regulations are strictly adhered to throughout all warehouse operations.
- Manage the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all areas.
- Develop and manage effective inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize warehouse efficiency.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
- Analyze warehouse operations and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes as necessary to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, specifically in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with 5S methodology, food safety standards, and shipping and receiving procedures.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and procedures.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze data and understand key performance indicators.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
